I created this using almost no special techniques, and i mostly used common sense. When the "camera" pans around and both the Paula Deans are revealed, all i did was move the circle to the side, while moving the image along with it. When the "camera" zooms out all the way so the circle is no longer visible anymore, all i did was continuously copy and pasted the previous circle, and then shrunk it a tiny bit until it was eventually gone.

This piece portrays the sacrifices of war. I used a lot of red, black, and white in this piece to show the violence of war. The quote in the back reads "Take this, all of you, and drink from it. This is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all, so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me." Many church goers are familiar with this line. If one was to read the bold words only, it would read "My blood will be shed for you and for all, do this in memory of me." The reason i did this is to show the sacrifices that are made for the freedom most people take for granted.

How did you use the elements of Art (line, color, pattern, visual texture, shapes, values) to enhance or hide the folding?
I used color, visual texture, pattern, and words to enhance my folding. The camo pattern conveyed that the message on the project is some sort of a war. A non violent war over preserving the countries trees. The color also helped send a similar message. The words obviously delivered the very blunt message, but the color and patterns helped emphasize. When the design is opened it shows a hidden tree.
What is your audience supposed to think of the design? What "clues" have you give them to make them think that?
I wanted the message of my design to be to conserve our trees and protect our forests. I portrayed this by writing the words "going green?" with the answer: "you're going the wrong way" with pictures of bulldozers and patterns of red and green camo to convey this message of non violent war. When the design is opened it shows a tree. It is a peaceful symbol in an otherwise angry looking design, what with camouflage covering the whole thing.

How can I use COLOR and VALUE to create an emotional reaction in my audience?
I used color and value to create an emotional reaction in my audience because i used a black and white background in the summer picture, with a rainbow gradient colored grass. Then I used spring like colors to fill out the background. This shows the differences in different seasons through color.
What selection SHAPES will best relate to, or react with the image I chose?
The selection shapes i used were mostly flowers because I wanted to use a theme of different seasons, so I used flower shapes to create a pattern, and to fill in the background of the main focal point which is the tree in the picture.
How can I have a FOCAL POINT in all this visual craziness?
I used the shape and outline of a moon, which coincidentally created a snow globe effect over a summer scene. I then filled the background in with different vibrant colors and the outline of flower shapes. I created a focal point by creating the background in the summer scene with the tree black and white, while the grass was a rainbow colored gradient. These two techniques are so opposite that it makes the image pop. Also, the main image is centered on the page, while the background images are equally symmetrical in the corner of the page, drawing the eye to the center image.

Whats the deeper/second meaning of my design? My design is very simplistic-the way I like. From far away, the design looks like a silhouette of a graduate throwing the letters WA into the air, instead of a graduation cap. At a closer look, the letters WA, are made up of the words seniors class of 2013.
What elements/principals did i used to achieve it? I used mostly text to compose the complicated part of the design, the WA, but for the body I worked a lot with color and lines.

This piece is done by Shepard Fairey. The main elements used in this add used for President Obamas 2008 campaign are color and line. They help present the picture more clearly. There is no hidden message in this design. The message is very clear. Hope. For everything, the country, the president, the public, etc.
This design was done by Milton Glaser. The main element used in this is color. The change in color helps distinguish this picture from two overlapping hearts, to a deeper message. The deeper message in this design is that love is not always a good thing. I think he's showing that love is not always the answer.
This design was done by AESTHETIC APPARATUS. They used color, texture, typography, and line to portray this design. I think the message in this design is to not take everything so seriously. It portrays a higher ranking official in the military, but with vibrant colors, covering half his face and body, with a cartoon bunny in the corner. Nothing says kids like cartoon bunnies.

Line, color, shape, and texture are the most important elements of art that play a role in his artwork
2. Which of the principals of design are most important to his work?
Color and shape are very important principals in his work
3. What makes his images interesting to you? How does his work INVOLVE the viewer?
His artwork is very interesting to me because i like the type of design he does. I am a big fan of symmetry. I always like how neat and clean he looks. I would describe his work as controlled chaos. He involves color and texture to make it look crazy, but at the same time makes it look controlled. He involves the viewer because he uses lines and shapes to draw the viewers eye around the image.
